In December 2020, the Italian five-axis CNC machining center imported by HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED was commissioned at the Fujian fabrication base. As the core equipment investment of the company's smart-manufacturing upgrade strategy, the new line greatly improves precision and delivery capability for curved profiles, 3D components and large waterjet medallions.
Five-axis machining completes complex multi-surface milling and carving in a single setup, achieving ±0.1mm accuracy for Roman columns, curved wall panels, string courses and 3D medallions. On site, this means profiled cladding can be installed without secondary trimming, joints become invisible beyond three metres, and on-site adjustment work and labor costs fall sharply.
A dedicated tool library and program library covering common European mouldings, column styles and medallion patterns supports programmatic batch production; programming and trial-cutting cycles for non-standard components have fallen from several days to within one day.
The new line is connected to the base's production scheduling system and runs alongside bridge-saw and polishing lines. Profiled pieces in project orders no longer wait in a separate queue but share lines with standard slabs, cutting overall delivery cycles by about 30% — laying the capacity foundation for more customised hotel and cultural-venue orders in 2021.
