The city museum is built around "conservation and aesthetics": Carrara White large slab hanging walls for the 8 themed galleries provide the neutral backdrop for artifacts, Calacatta Gold for the lecture auditorium and collection storage adds ceremony, and Crema Marfil for the public lobby and cafe provides warmth — three principal stones balance "conservation" and "public aesthetics" across the cultural architecture.

LIMITED Stone supplied and installed all stone for the 17,000 ㎡ across 6 floors: 8,000 ㎡ of 12 mm gallery hanging walls, 4,000 ㎡ of public lobby and corridor flooring, 3,000 ㎡ of academic zone and collection storage, and 2,000 ㎡ of façade and outdoor plaza. Delivered in phased handovers over 30 months while galleries stayed closed sequentially — climate-controlled environment preserved artifact safety throughout.

Six stages from 3D scanning to phased handover — 30 months, gallery by gallery, climate-controlled throughout.
360° laser scanning of the 6-floor 17,000 ㎡ museum produced millimetre-level point clouds, resolving 312 structural deviations and HVAC interface points in advance.
8,000 ㎡ of 12 mm Carrara thin slabs pre-assembled and numbered gallery by gallery, producing piece-by-piece installation drawings aligned with the gallery-by-gallery program.
Five-axis CNC machined 8,000 ㎡ of 12 mm Carrara thin slabs and 12,000 linear metres of hanging-wall substructure to a tolerance of ±0.3 mm — the higher precision demanded by thin panels.
Carrara 12 mm thin panels travelled in full-foam vacuum wooden crates; transport held a constant 18 °C and 50 % RH, with zero breakage and zero deformation.
Thin panels hung on back-bolts plus three-way adjustable aluminium T-brackets, capacity ≥4 kN per point; single-panel hanging time within 4 minutes to keep gallery closure short.
Stone installation was BIM-coordinated in 3D with HVAC ducts, lighting track and display-case embedments; 218 service crossings resolved in advance, rework rate ≤3 %.

Gallery hanging stone, track lights and ceiling spots BIM-coordinated in 3D; light sources ≥300 mm from the stone surface, UV filtration ≥99 % to prevent artifact fading.
Gallery hanging stone backed by a 50×50 mm galvanised-steel anti-seismic frame, rated for seismic intensity 8; one panel loosening does not affect its neighbors — artifacts stay safe.
Gallery hanging stone M8 stainless-steel back-bolt 8 mm embedment, bracket three-way adjustable ±5 mm, ensuring flatness ±0.5 mm/3 m across the 8,000 ㎡ of gallery walls.
