ISO 50001 Energy Management Certification Achieved

HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED received the ISO 50001:2018 energy management system certification from international certification body SGS in April 2021.

Key energy-saving and emission-reduction initiatives:

Combined results: 4.2 million kWh of electricity saved a year (the annual power use of 1,200 households), 2,800 tonnes of CO₂ cut (equivalent to planting 150,000 trees), energy costs down 18%, with a payback period of just 2.8 years — targeting a carbon-neutral factory within five years.

The audit covered cutting, polishing, water treatment and offices across HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED plants. Core measures include high-pressure retrofits on gang saws, waste-heat recovery drying lines, rooftop solar generating 1.8 million kWh a year, and an IoT platform metering every machine in real time.

ISO 50001 is a milestone, not a finish line: HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED targets a carbon-neutral factory within five years, with fleet electrification and block-yield improvement to 92% next — every percentage point means less quarrying and lower embodied carbon.
