Waterjet Mosaic Craft Technician
RMB 12,000–22,000 / month + piece-rate bonus
Review mosaic drawings, plan waterjet cutting, assemble intricate mosaics and guide on-site installation — producing the lobby, residence and feature-wall centerpieces that define HSST's craft.
Key Responsibilities
- Review mosaic drawings for manufacturability (joint width, color pairing, expansion mismatch) and propose optimisations;
- Plan waterjet cutting paths and nesting to control waste and machining time;
- Supervise mosaic assembly, glue-filling and polishing for joint precision and surface consistency;
- Design process solutions for complex multi-material mosaics (stone + mosaic + metal);
- Advise installation teams on mosaic laying sequence and curing requirements;
- Participate in new-process trials (seamless splicing, lightweight back-panels).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: High school / technical secondary or above; arts-crafts or stone-processing background preferred;
- Experience: 3+ years in waterjet mosaic or stone profiling; 5-star hotel lobby portfolio preferred;
- Skills: able to read mosaic piece drawings; familiar with waterjet operation and common adhesives/polishing consumables;
- Attributes: fine craftsmanship, extreme patience, good aesthetic judgement;
- Others: piece-rate and peak overtime accepted; able to travel for installation guidance.
Bonus Points
- Large public-building art mosaic projects preferred;
- Basic CAD layout skills a plus;
- National/provincial craft competition awards a plus.
