Quality Control Engineer (QC)
RMB 9,000–16,000 / month + quality bonus
Run full-process quality control at the Guangdong (Foshan) base: block/slab acceptance, in-process patrols, batch final inspection and pre-shipment checks — guarding the reputation of HSST's 68-point inspection chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out incoming acceptance of blocks and slabs; build batch color and veining archives;
- Patrol bridge-saw, polishing, profiling and mosaic processes against inspection standards, correcting deviations and issuing rectification notes;
- Perform final inspection (dimensional tolerance, flatness, color difference, defect grading) and issue inspection reports;
- Manage color-comparison samples and sealed-sample control, coordinating client approval samples;
- Track quality statistics (first-pass yield, rework rate) and drive process improvements;
- Support client inspections and third-party notarised testing.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or above in materials, gemmology, mechanical or quality management;
- Experience: 2+ years in manufacturing QC; stone/ceramics/glass industry preferred;
- Skills: proficient with calipers, levels, color meters; able to read fabrication drawings and tolerance requirements;
- Knowledge: ISO 9001 basics and 8D/5-Why problem analysis;
- Attributes: principled, sharp-eyed, fast hands; comfortable with workshop environment and peak-season overtime;
- Others: able to travel briefly to HK project sites for acceptance support.
Bonus Points
- QC certificates (internal auditor etc.) a plus;
- Natural-stone color grading experience preferred;
- Basic English inspection communication a plus.
