A blue-grey limestone (qing stone) from the Sichuan–central plains. Fine-grained with a calm blue-grey tone that reads as a warm velvet under matte light — a classic material for Jiangnan gardens and new-Chinese interiors. Softer than granite and needing sealing, but superb for carving and profiling, suited to floors, feature walls, paths and sculpture.
